International Zine Month 2020

It's International Zine Month! Come into the library and check out some zines from the collection or browse the catalog, put some on hold and come and pick them up, or have them brought out to your car curbside.

Participate in a zine-related activity every day of the month with this calendar Stolen Sharpie Revolution. The website lists various zine distros and keeps an up-to-date calendar of zine-related events including a zine club livestream.

Want to incorporate zines into your class curriculum? Check out this zine about using zines in the classroom. It includes resources for teachers as well as a few activities to try with your students. There's also this zine about teaching information literacy with zines. The Small Science Collective offers a variety of zines on various scientific topics that various students created and uploaded to the site for anyone to download, print out, fold up, and read for free.

Eager to sit down and create a zine right now, but don't know how to start? Check out this video I made on how to make an eight page zine using only a piece of paper and a pair of scissors.
